Hematology Department

The Hematology Department is an essential pillar of the Clinic. Most patients require hematologic evaluation. However, in addition to the patients who are "passers-by", the doctors and nurses of the department are next to the chronic hematological patients throughout the course of the disease, providing high-standard services and having the latest technology equipment available.

In the Hematology department of the Clinic we provide a full range of services related to the diagnosis and treatment of all hematological disorders, including hematological malignancies.

In our department, patients with:

In the operation of the Hematology department, the Hematology and Microbiology Laboratory have been integrated, as well as the Clinic's collaboration with the Evangelism blood donation, which play a necessary and valuable role in the treatment of hematological diseases by carrying out the most up-to-date and specialized tests.

Also, there is a close cooperation with renowned laboratories of Molecular Biology and Flow Cytometry.

Blood donation

The companions of the patients who need a blood transfusion should come to the Athens General Hospital Annunciation for blood donation in the following hours, in order to help the smooth operation and decongestion of the Hospital.

  • Monday Wednesday 08:30 – 17:30
  • Tuesday – Thursday – Friday 08:30 – 14:30
  • Saturday 09:00 – 14:00

Within the Short Hospitalization department:

  • Myelograms
